My Boys

Oh how I love my boys and the joys that come with having little boys in our house. This morning it involved clean up a dozen eggs off the kitchen floor and walls, tomorrow who knows what they will come up with. Each day is a new adventure, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love that they're loud and messy, and that they came with their own sound effects. I love that Brayden builds robots with blocks and that Cohen builds tower just to watch them crumble. I love that they smell like puppies after spending the day playing outside and that they often need more than 1 bath each day. I love that they unconditionally love me. I love my boys so much that it hurts knowing one day they will not need me the way they do now. So I'll count to ten, clean up their messes and wipe off their faces, just to do it all again the next day, and when that morning sun rises I will thank God for another day with my boys.

Help Haiti

If you been online at all this week or turned on the TV you have heard about the tragedy in Haiti. The earthquake has impacted over 3 million people and thousand are expected dead. My heart aches for them and what they must be going through.
I received an email today from the Rock the Vote campaign. It said that Rock the Vote had teamed up with the artist Wyclef (who's from Haiti) and he started the Yele Haiti Relief fund. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and needless to say, they need our help and Yele Haiti Relief Fund made it really easy for us to do so. You can text "Yele" to 501501 to donate $5 to the Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund (it will be charged to your cell phone bill. So simple. Really, how many of us will notice an extra $5 charge on our phone bill? Just think of the impact it will have if everyone did this, just $5. Five dollars to help someone who's lost everything they have and people they love. Five dollars to help keep them warm and safe.
I have been so touched by this tragedy and I truly believe in my heart that people are good and caring by nature. I think that we all want to help others and give to make a world a better place. We are so incredibly blessed in this country and I think it's incredible that with a simple text we can send a little love to those how need it. I really hope that everyone that reads this will take a few second from their day to text "Yele" to 501501. I did it and I'm trying to spread the word. It's now on my blog and also up on my facebook status. If you get a chance post it on yours as well. You can also donate by going to yele.org and click DONATE.
Much love, Sabrina

CUPCAKES

Cupcakes. They're so fantanstic, a cake mini sized, they're perfect for little hands. Maybe too perfect. In our house cupcakes are much loved and we make them quite often. And every time it's the same story, because I'm a slow learner. Last night we made cupcakes, and this morning like every other morning after baking cupcakes, this what I found.....

All the cupcakes with the tops missing. Only one cupcake was frosted so frosting was not the incentive. Now who could mutilate cupcakes in such a way? It's always one person, one tiny little person with big brown eyes and pouty lips.
Here he is enjoying his vice...

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

It's beginning to look a lot like like Christmas in the Hebert household and I'm loving it.The smell of Poinsettia Pine through the house, small twinkling lights and the sounds of Nat King Cole, little footsteps and curious voice wondering what's under the tree. There's something so magical about Christmas time, specially with little ones in the house. I love the idea of Santa, magic and wishes coming true. I try to make holidays as magical as possible. Of course the true meaning of Christmas is the biggest focus. We talk about Jesus and what he has done for us. We also talk about how blessed we are and we show our gratitude by giving back to those less fortune than us. This year we went through all of our belongings and set a side items that were in good condition to give to a family in need. Knowing that their loved toys and books were going to someone in need motivated the kids to give more. We filled 3 BIG boxes with items to donate. We still have more to go through and more to give and we have made a goal to give of our time and love through out the whole year. I love the spirit of Christmas and I'm gonna drag it out as long as possible.

I LOVE General Conference...

...Especially the autumn sessions. It just doesn't get better than snuggling up underneath a blanket on a crisp autumn day listening the words of modern prophets. A feeling overwhelming love and warmth. I'm so grateful the at we are able to watch Conference from the comfort of our home.

Cohen's Birthday!

My baby is not a baby anymore :(
He had so much fun doing whatever he wanted. It was his birthday and he spent most of it in just a diaper eating treats and using his body as a canvas for his new markers. Aw what I would give to be 2 again!
